Fat Loss Diet

Healthy living can be traced to two simple ideas. Those ideas are effective diet and effective exercise. The word diet often time implies something that is uncomfortable and unpleasant so for our purposes it’s important to make fat loss diet part of an easy to achieve life style.

Over time our world has changed from one that provided individuals with ample chances for active life style to one that is much more sedentary. This sedentary lifestyle has placed the responsibility for activity and healthy movement squarely on the shoulders of each individual and has made it even more important for a person to look at foods that they are consuming as part of their maintenance or fat loss diet.

Every food has both nutritional value as well as energy and fat fighting value. When putting together a fat loss diet it’s critical to include some of the foods that have the ability to burn extra fat. Some of the foods high on both the nutritional and fat burning list include:

  • Almonds and other nuts
  • Eggs
  • Beans and Legumes
  • Green vegetables and spinach
  • Turkey and lean meats
  • Raspberries and other berries

All of these foods can help a person improve energy, burn calories, not add body fat and create the positive, forward moving energy that is so essential to a successful fat loss diet.

So what about part two of that successful fat loss diet? The second part is movement and exercise. It’s just as important to choose an exercise routine that you will stick to as it is an eating plan that you will stick to if you are to experience success with your fat loss diet.

There are certainly many forms of exercise that you can choose from but two important components of any exercise program for maintaining or losing body weight are speed and strength exercises.

Some of combination of speed and strength exercise increases your heart rate and breathing as well as improving muscle strength and tone.

Examples of speed training exercises are fast or interval walking, uphill walking, sprinting, interval riding on a bike, or intervals on an elliptical machine. Boxing drills and martial arts drills are also excellent speed training alternatives as execution of these movements works the muscles in an explosive fashion.

Examples of strength training exercises are weight lifting, body weight exercises, or some form of exercise band training.

Using some combination of these aforementioned exercises is also essential to your fat loss diet because these exercises burn calories and fight fat long after the exercise session is over.

Eating effectively and exercising are the essential components that will help you experience success in your fat loss diet.

Getting started on your program will energize you and give you a good forward moving momentum. Remember that you will more than likely experience some frustration and discomfort while going through this process but don’t let it get you down. There’s incredible value in sticking with a process. Your fat loss diet will give you the results that you are looking for if you’re patient, reward yourself for small progress, and believe in your ability to succeed.
